Denny’s decided it wanted to announce its plan to give everyone in America a FREE Grand Slam Breakfast during the Super Bowl. We knew that was gonna take a lot of eggs… and that the news might ruffle a feather or two.
After we shot the spot, Denny’s (much like the Kylo Rem meme) wanted MORE. Another spot with more chickens. It was late in the game but we leaned into the insanity…
Proudest moment of this utter insanity was the Wall Street Journal mentioning the chicken screaming in space as “one of those classic Super Bowl ad moments.”
As if this wasn’t insane enough at the last minute we were told they bought another 15 wand wanted MORE chickens. With no time left we cobbled together, maybe the dumbest ad of all time, but it ended up being a nice button for this series of bonkers ads.
